Huawei Nexus 6 p, Google’s next big mobile, will, among other things, get a special type of pixels, which ensures good photos in the dark.
Now there is not much time for that, Google will unveil two new star phones. The search giant is holding an event tomorrow in which the two long rygtede Nexus phones, LG Nexus 5 x and Huawei Nexus 6 p, will debut.
How many of the details about the LG-produced Nexus 5 x is already out, Huawei had more luck with keeping the cards into the body. Until now.
Leaked presentation slides, as the blog Android police has got his fingers in, shows for what will be the main attractions of Google’s forthcoming top-phablet: a 5.7 inch Quad-HD display, metal casing and a camera that borrows the idea from HTC-Ultrapixel’ ‘ and makes it even better.
Photo Master of darkness
It was earlier leaked that the camera will be in the region of 12 megapixels. It is thus slightly fewer pixels than the 16, 20 or 23 megapixels which is typically among the top of Android phones.
The individual pixels will however be 1.55 micrometer width, and therefore will be almost twice as light-sensitive than those of its competitors which typically takes advantage of 1.12 micrometer technology.
The lens at f/2.0 is at the same time bright, which interact with the ambient light sensor (ALS) should provide excellent results when light is in short supply.
Thus follows the Nexus 6 p the same philosophy as in HTC’s Ultrapixel-cameras, which concentrate on fewer, but bigger pixels, in order to ensure a faster image processing and better properties in low light.
Exclusive materials and features
Nexus 6 p will restore the full metal casing as in the defunct Nexus One mobile from 2010. The dimensions will, however, be considerably bigger-but thinner, with goals on 159.4 x 77.8 x 7, 3 mm and a weight of 178 grams.
Other high-end features in the upcoming topmobil, will be double front facing speakers, a fingerprint reader on the back, as well as a large 5.7 inch Quad HD display with AMOLED technology which is protected by the unbreakable Gorilla Glass 4.
The engine room of the Nexus 6 p will offer a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 octa-core processor, 3 GB of RAM and a large battery on 3,450 mAh. Quick charging will be supported together with the new, reversible Type (C), USB port. Wireless charging, however, will not be to find.
Nexus 6 p will, together with Nexus 5 x, be first with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with features like Now On Tap, ‘ Doze ‘ power saver, Android Pay and more.
Nexus 6 p will come in four optional colors: silver, black, gold and frostblå. The storage space will not be able to be expanded, but can be selected among three sizes: 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.
The price of the Google’s upcoming topmobil, and when the Nexus 6 p will smoke in the trade, is not spelled out.
